King Arthur - The Young Warlord

In the abridged compilation of the popular British Television series "Arthur of Britons" (1972-73), the romanticized notion of Camelot is stripping away in the portrayal of a young Arthur (Oliver Tobias) and his struggles to unite the various scattered tribes of Britain's Dark Ages against the growing number of Saxon invaders. The legend of the future king is depicted with attention to historical accuracy as Arthur, the chief of a small Celt tribe, is aided by his adoptive father Llud the Silver Hand (Jack Wastson) and his Saxon foster brother Kai (Michael Gothard) in brutally realistic armed battles.
